Some of my personal reviews of
products I have paid for and used.

I have used several SUNLU filament types. Mainly because they offer a MasterSpool option. Below are my feelings, perceptions, and experiences with this brand of filament.

Pros: Cost, MasterSpool, Overall ease of use, consistency from roll to roll, good availability.

Cons: Cost, MasterSpool

I placed Cost and MasterSpool in both categories, and here is why... When purchasing single rolls without a spool (I have several printed masterspools already) cost per roll is about $10 higher than purchasing on spool. Also I can purchase a two-pack of MasterSpool (1 masterspool and 1 refill) for about $15 less than the same two refill spools.

PLA: very nice all-around material. Consistent settings between spools and batches. No real surprises, it just plain works.

SPLA: PETG-like is what they call it. Shiny PLA is accurate also. It is VERY shiny. Settings wise, I find that using PETG settings works best for this, higher nozzle temps, higher bed temps, and slower printing are key. Retractions also take a bit to dial in as this can be VERY stringy material.

PETG: Overall same as SPLA, hot and slow are the keys.

Overall I like this brand of filament, though it does take some adjustment of settings for optimum performance.
Hatchbox
I've only used a few rolls of Hatchbox, now it seems to be harder to get on Amazon. Overall great material (PLA and ABS) Very consistent settings between the rolls I have used.
Overture
My first foray into 3D printing was with Overture PLA as it was available for cheap on Amazon in the 6-pack and 3-pack. I have used this material for all sorts of projects including the 3D printed Les Paul Silver Star on the projects page. The ruler and print surface included with each roll is a nice touch, although my Ender 5 has a 220x220 footprint and their included print surface is 200x200. Still it was nice to have a replaceable area to practice while 3D printing was still new to me.

Tronxy
The only material I have used from Tronxy is TPU. After moving the Ender 5 to a direct drive extruder setup, I used this to create a few soft masks and nose pieces for cloth masks.
I like the TPU very much, though it is very stringy and very picky on the print settings. Retractions are extremely difficult to dial in for me.
FilamentOne.com
I have started using FilamentOne as a source of PLA filaments via their monthly subscription service. Full review to follow later after a few months are under my belt.

I ordered the $18 sample box, and received it in good time (within the promised 4-6 days). Contained some good samples, a Premium PTFE Tube, and a sticker. The samples printed well and I actually used some Red PETG sample to print the Part Cooler duct for my Ender 5 Plus. The PLA Plus also printed well with very little stringing on the basic settings.
Building on the success of the sample box, I signed up for the 2 kg monthly subscription at $40+ per month. The order was placed on Feb 27th and I was notified almost immediately of shipping saying the order was on the way! well... a label was printed and info sent to usps systems. The site claims shipping within 3 days of order. 3-5 days later the tracking info still shows the label creation. March 7th I submitted an order update request via the website. "Someone will get back to you as soon as possible." was the reply. No response by EOD March 8th. Sent email to the listed address requesting update on the order. March 9th, received email that the order was expected to be delivered on March 12. Quite a few days past the promised 3 day shipping time. March 12 came and went. No filament subscription box. March 15 the package finally arrives. I hope each months subscription does not follow this pattern. Received a Metallic Gold and Bright Red Orange PLA Pro Select at 1KG each, yet another PTFE Tube, and a coaster.
